Development of Pear Linux 5 has begun. The codename for the next release is Sunsprite*. It will be based on Ubuntu 12.04. Pear Linux 5 is a fast, stable, and powerful operating system for everyday use. It's completely free to use, study, and share.
Several evolutions are planned :
- UI enhancements of Pear Shell (evolution of "Comice OS Shell")
- Based on Gnome 3.4)
- Built with kernel 3.2.
This version should be available this summer. The development will be a little longer to provide a reliable and high performance system.
